The CrossFit Port Credit Story

About CrossFit PortCredit

From the Founders

If you’ve ever browsed the internet looking for workout advice, you know how difficult it is to identify programs that work. Even experienced gym-goers get caught up in workouts that promise massive gains in six weeks or less.

That’s why our gym is so valuable for so many people. Instead of doing the research yourself, we’ve done that part of the work for you. All you need to do is show up and give each workout your all.

Some people get their motivation from slow and steady improvement, while others thrive on competition. No matter what your style, we offer a space where you can see results more quickly than other gym routines, as long as you put in the hard work.

What sets CrossFit apart from other workouts and gyms is that we believe in combining strength with endurance for maximum performance. We want you to get strong and capable and see the difference functional strength can make in your life.

Our Management Team

Jen Callahan Patel

Fitness has always been a priority for Jen.  In 2016, she discovered CrossFit at a time when she wanted to kickstart her fitness journey as a new mom, ultimately joining the gym when her second daughter was 6 months old.  She started slow with two classes a week and like many members fell in love and built up from there.  In 2020, at the height of COVID, Jen and her co-owners purchased CFPC from the original owners who were moving back out East and were going to close the gym.  Due to the gym and the community becoming so important to her physical and mental health, Jen knew immediately she wanted to keep CFPC open.  The gym continues to be one of her favourite places and it is her motivation to provide a space in the community that brings them health and connection.  Jen is proud of the special community at CFPC and is not surprised when people comment on the positive energy at the gym.  Jen reflection how the community is diverse, inclusive and caring.  As well as an owner, Jen is a worker in the healthcare industry and a mom of 2 daughters.  Jen is frequently seen at the gym throughout the week when it fits with her family’s busy schedule!

Joanna Quattrociocchi

Joanna has always been a self-described fitness enthusiast. She was first introduced to CrossFit in 2009 when she was marathon/ triathlon training as a way to Cross train. She immediately fell in love with it!
In 2016 she welcomed her first son and had to adjust her fitness as running and biking for hours just wasn’t in the cards anymore. Again, CrossFit was there to lean on and get in shape post baby.
In 2019 she welcomed her second and when he was 6 months old, the pandemic hit. With the stresses of lock down and motherly duties, there wasn’t much time for herself. The gym switched to Zoom classes during that time and that was her mental escape daily to recharge so she could be the best version of herself to her family. Joanna remembers clearly when she heard that the gym was potentially closing. It was without a question that this could not happen. The benefits mentally and physically were far too great to herself and the community. It had to stay open.
Since 2020, the gym has brought more than just physical and mental benefits to her life. Being an active member in the community and helping foster fitness to others has been the best reward of all. The personal growth in her own fitness has also been fulfilling by pushing her to new heights through local CrossFit competitions and recently qualifying for CrossFit quarterfinals in her age group in 2024.
Joanna and her husband Andrew love spending time with their two boys who also love participating in the gym. Consistent with her passion for fitness she provides wealth planning and financial management to her clients at a top-Tier Canadian Financial institution.
